Islam is a complete code of conduct that provides comprehensive and complete guidance in every sphere of life. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “The best marriage is the one that costs the least.” Unfortunately, the curse of dowry has engulfed the entire society. Everyone wants his name to be high in the society. The only purpose is to please the creatures, no matter the wrath of the Creator. How are we Muslims? Today, the hands of thousands of sisters and daughters are not turning yellow due to lack of dowry. In Islam, wasteful spending is called the brother of Satan. The elites of the society also have to be an example of simplicity because simplicity is the solution to all problems.
